this is regarding licenses. I’m looking to buy a Roger On IN version 2 on Ebay. I don’t understand all there is re licenses. I already have licenses in my hearing aids. What happens when I purchase this with licenses and pair with my hearing aids which already have licenses in them? What happens to the licenses already in my hearing aids and what happens to the ones that are coming with the Roger On? Thank you; sorry for probably asking some real simple, but I want to make sure what I’m doing.

Hello @ggreenone, unless it’s cheap, there would be little point in buying a Roger On iN version 2, but if money isn’t an option, the new Roger On iN version 3 might be a better buy? That has unlimited licenses for future hearing aids, buying second hand is always a risk, the battery could be goosed, or the oN may have a fault… You don’t have to do anything if your aids have been preinstalled with Roger X Receivers, the Roger oN iN V2 will just work, once charged & switched on, the licenses in the iN will remain intact… The Roger On Version 3 is available from Connevans here in the UK, just under £1400 if you sign the VAT waver, plus a 2 year guarantee … BTW, apparently the version 3 installs unlimited type 02 Roger x receivers, that means any Roger device will work with these! See link below. Cheers Kev ![]()

If you had oticon hearing aids, and a Roger mic, the X Receiver would make sense. But the X Receiver isn’t going to transmit to the hearing aids, it is a receiver. It won’t take output from the edumic and send it to phonak aids.

I have an Oticon xceed SP1 pair; I have a Phonak Naida Paradise P90 UP.
In the video, I understood that the Oticon EduMic + Phonak Roger x transmits sound to Oticon and Phonak hearing aids and can support multiple hearing aids in a room, as YouTube writes.
How do you feed this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAFdw3yC1gw&t=277s&ab_channel=DoctorCliff%2CAuD4
Do you know anyone who is aware of this?

Why do you think a Oticon EduMic which is made for Oticon , can work with Phonak HAs?
The video doesn’t mention it will work with Phonak hearing aids.
The video states that even if you have Oticon Aids, attaching a Roger X to the EduMic will allow you to use all of the Phonak Roger Microphones.

Oticon EduMic + Phonak Roger x transmits sound to Oticon and Phonak hearing aids
You are mixing things up here which sound confusing to us. Me, at least. The X doesn’t transmit anything. And the edumic isn’t sending anything to phonak aid either. Your roger mic will send to the phonak (Sonova brands, generally) with receivers. It can also send to the X Receiver you can attach to the edumic. You started out by talking about
Oticon EduMic + Phonak Roger x slippers = Phonak Naida Paradise P90 UP
which doesn’t make sense to me. If you had said roger mic, edumic, x receiver, and oticon aids, I’d have said yes. But with just what you put on table as we started out, it won’t work.
So you can use a roger mic, with X receiver attached to an edumic, and oticon aids, and phonak aids all at the same time. Is this what you mean? If you didn’t mean to the phonak aids, why did you bring them up? Sorry, not trying to be difficult. Just trying to understand your problem set.

I personally think the Roger On iN v2 is the better deal. As near as I can tell the only physical difference is a scratch resistant screen which I don’t really need because I routinely use the cover. As far as the receivers go, I have downloaded more than 10 receivers for my and spares as well as my wife’s and spares. I purchased a lightly used V2 from eBay for this. I am now seeing some offered for less than $500 US.

Follow up: I did end up purchasing the version 2 (EBAY). Now I’m waiting for it and then have to try to figure out how to use it effectively. Any and all suggestions and information and instruction is very welcome as I’m just not a technical person. I have a couple of other accessories, but trying to figure out how to use them is another issue. Hopefully this will be better if you would all please help. Thank you.
