Transfer settings intent1 to OPN1

II inherited a pair of OPN 1,s which I would like to use as a backup to my intent 1. I know they are years apart in production and technology, but I was wondering if there was anyway to do this or get close. The message in Genie says they are not compatible.Thank you.

Try this:
Create new client (Don’t use the same client you have for the Intents)
Connect the Intents (load the settings from the ).
Disconnect the Intents
Save.
Go to [Prepare-> Hearing Instruments]
Select the OPN 1/2/3/4 HAs for both sides plus style + features + power level
Go to [Prepare → Acoustics] Select dome type.
Click on [Fit]
You will get a info message, click on it.
Save

Now you have a saved OPN session with some of the Intent settings. Not all the Intent settings are preserved (feedback test, in-situ audiometry, etc) because there are certain settings that are tied to the hardware.

With this:
Connect the OPNs and when asked, select load saved session (or something like that)
Save

If I were doing this, I would not do the transfer. Instead
(1) Print the settings from the intent (gain/freq values plus all the settings).
(2) Create new client and start from scratch. Select the features that you want and, with your printout, adjust the gains + add programs, etc. This can be done in few minutes if you know how to navigate Genie.

Are you using Genie 2 2026.1? If you have the latest firmware on your Intents, you’ll need the latest version of the software.
