Trending products are taking up more then half of my page

Thanks for tagging me on this @Zebras … The issue was somehow the user’s got corrupted. I’m not sure how that happened, but I’ve just added an empty one for him for now and his posts are back up and running. Will report to my lead dev and get a fix in place to avoid in future.

@AbramBaileyAuD Sorry to say, I think the new format is untenable.

As many others have noted, the space taken by Trending topics is way to much, even after using uBlock, the blank space is useless.

The other issue, is since I rely on Dark Mode, the , and locations of users is much to dark.

I use Firefox, on a Windows 11 desktop, primarily.

The amount of space dedicated to actual posts has not changed, so I don’t really understand the issue. The max-width of those is the same, the only thing that has changed is the sidebar not being empty as it was before… I’ll have a look at the dark mode..

PS. The plan is to add in a show/hide for the sidebar, but I’m still playing around with that… I also plan to add other features there… Hiding the sidebar won’t provide any additional room for the posts though since those don’t get wider and never have.

PPS. If your sidebar is actually taking up more than about 15% of your page width, then it could actually be a rendering issue on your browser… Send a screenshot if that’s the case! I fixed the issue reported by @Zebras though, so no one should be seeing the sidebar taking up half their screen anymore.

If you are on a Mac with Safari, you can get rid of it. To hide distracting items in Safari, tap the Page Menu button on the left side of the URL (the icon with the two "a"s or a book icon with a line through it) to the left of the address bar, then select “Hide Distracting Items”. A border will appear around elements you can hide; tap to select and hide each item, then make sure to tap “Done” to apply the changes. To show hidden items, tap the Page Menu button again and select “Show Hidden Items”

It’s very important to click Done right away or else when you go back to another part of the page that section will also disappear. But, then, you can always tap that Page Menu button again to get it back.
