Hello,
Since childhood I have used hearing aids (only in the right ear, the left ear does not work) made by Widex cic, I went through several series of them over the years, until I decided to switch to a hearing aid made by Oticon More, I had this hearing aid for 3 and a half years. And after the good reviews I read about the new Phonak Sphere device, I decided to try the device.
I would appreciate help here (I have the ability to ). I had an test done at the audiologist., I have a P receiver in light of a recommendation I saw at Jorde, combined with a custom Slin earphone

The sound that the device produces sounds very muffled, as if I am hearing through a balloon, I am able to understand speech and conversation to a certain level (I will explain later), but the spatial sounds (a door closing, a car beeping, and all sorts of small things) do not sound good.
Is this how it sounds with Phonak devices as opposed to the open world of Oticon More, and to some extent also Widex?
I thought it was a matter of amplification, so I played with the Haggadot at home, and noticed that it had nothing to do with the frequency intensity (I turned it up a lot) -
The only way to hear relatively well is if I create a personal program through the app, and select the “clarity” option there, then I relatively feel like I hear well and openly, but it comes with an over-amplification of other sounds (keyboard tapping, dragging a chair/table, etc.). In my understanding, if I select a brightness program, Phonak’s automatic program doesn’t know how to come into play and switch between listening environments.

In Sphere’s automatic mode, I can understand speech in a quiet room, but as soon as there are many speakers, I feel that because everything is muffled, I can’t understand the conversation, so yes, I see an improvement, but it’s not a guaranteed improvement.
I think it all boils down to the fact that I just have a dull hearing. Do you have any ideas on what to look for so I can check it out before my next visit to my audiologist (it’s in two weeks, and it’s a shame for me to try and waste a lot of time trying).
