UK Phonak Audeo I90 Sphere. UPDATE to Starkey Omega 24. with Edge+

Audiologist took back Phonak and last week had Starkey Omega 24 fitted. Oh my!! What a difference. The sound is so much better, more natural and the big plus is that my iphone 13 works brilliantly with it. First impressions are very good. Hope this helps some of you.

Fitted on Monday. Told would work with my iphone 13 but NOT my Apple Watch.

However, I find I can make and receive alls on the Watch which is a bonus. However, what I cannot solve is how to get the phone to read notification of SMS and WhatsApp. I have checked Notifications etc on, volume correct but other fixes mentions dont appear either on the Phone or in the Phonak app. Had anyone else in UK had this problem. Or maybe some other users could help me out here. Thanks

Do you mean Announce Notifications?

It doesn’t work with Phonak as they use Classic Bluetooth. Only works with Made For iPhone Hearing Aids.

Thanks for that. Yes, used to get lovely Siri reading part of my messages. I had done a bit of research before seeing the Audiologist and thought Starkey might be a good fit. He wanted the Phonak probably because of all the add-ons!. Phoned Phonak today Told me they were only interested in their hearing aids and Apple my problem. Hardly reassuring so am asking to try a different brand!! Only now understand Phonak only company using Bluetooth Classic - as you say above. But am not techy however even at 78 am doing y level best to learn!!!
