Unitron Moxi Fit ssshhhh noise

I have the latest Moxi fit hearing aid in Platinum range. I get a persistent ssshhhh noise whenever I am somewhere quite and the ssshhhh goes when there is a sound of any form then the ssshhhh returns after 10 seconds of silence. Is this the norm a fault or something my audiologist is missing in the set up. I think they could be faulty as one pair have already been returned for a number of faults. Be very interested in your comments

My guess is that you have pretty good low frequency hearing and that this is processor floor noise. It seems to vary depending on the hearing aid. Depending on how strong it is, it is something one can adjust to.

Thank you, you are correct I have a slight hearing loss in my good ear which is in high frequency but have one sided hearing loss in the other which is 75% due to an acoustic neuroma unfortunately the hearing aid in that ear ‘hears’ very little.
Like you say I may have to live with it, do you think a cros system would produce the same problem

I don’t know. My guess is that a system would do it too, but it’s only a guess.
