@raylock1 After another month, I’d call the EON an overall improvement over my Infinio, although not a night-and-day one. Speech has a little more clarity/crispness to me, and I think the bigger improvement is actually in non-Spheric speech-in-noise and general AutoSense behavior, rather than Spheric Speech in Loud Noise itself. Transitions between environments seem smoother and it does a better job without having to invoke Spheric processing as often.
Battery life has been excellent. I don’t spend an entire day continuously in Spheric mode, so I can’t give you a meaningful all-Spheric runtime figure, but in normal all-day mixed use, including Spheric when needed, I’m usually finishing the day with well over half the battery remaining. That is noticeably better than I expected.
I’d also agree with Hearing_Potential about the smaller size and improved handling of things like wind/noise. For me the attraction isn’t one spectacular new feature so much as the EON feeling like a more refined hearing aid overall.
If I already owned the Infinio and were perfectly satisfied, I’m not sure I’d call the EON a mandatory upgrade. But if I were deciding whether to wait another two years at your age, I’d certainly want to try them. 🙂
