Your concern about moisture is unwarranted.
The IP67 rating is based on electronic coatings, not the housing.

Well, if you have read my replies call several days after I drop off the first ha where the seam had separated. The tech wanted to know if I have the hooks and I did keep them. The tech told me that Phonak with send the ha back to the clinic and then the clinic will send the ha to me where as before where there was a repair the ha were sent to me from Phonak. So as I said before VA audio dept is getting more complicated which was the reason for my post. Trying to find out if there is a way to repair the seams without the complicated VA repair process. Which seems like there does not seem to be none. So I will wait to get my ha back from VA and hope my current ha does not fall apart.

Complicated?
A private business would send the aid to Phonak. Phonak will simply replace it. Then it goes back to the private business to check and reload the programming.
is no more complicated.
I’m surprised that Phonak would send an aid directed to a customer.

Cochlear America has mailed a number of things directly to me as I have mailed things directly to them. Audiologist was not involved as far as I know.
Cochlear America also does one on one chats that make things happen immediately.
I have found this to be really nice.

The clinic I use have sent my aids directly to the Oticon repair center for repair and the repair center sends them back to the clinic the turn around is normal less than 10 business days. The VA also takes care of my provided backup hearing aids that I use if my primary aids are needing repaired.
