Viewing unread in this new forum apparently only shows unread posts in threads that I've followed. It's not showing me everything that I haven't read.

I like to use 'unread' as a way to read all forums. I want to log into a screen that shows every unread post. When I'm done scrolling through the forum, if there are topics that I'm not interested in and that are still unread, I'll click "mark all as read"... then the next time I log in it will show me only everything that is new that I haven't seen.

Is there a way to do that here in this new forum?

That used to be the New tab on the old forum, as you read them the content on the New tab shrank until you were done. There also used to be a way to mark topics as read to clear them from the New tab, and also, you could set the New tab as the default.

On the new Forum, it seems no longer possible to set the New tab as the default tab, and there does not appear to be a way to dismiss New topics.

I've mentioned this to @AbramBaileyAuD , so maybe that functionality will be restored.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record now, so I'll shut up on this topic. 😉
