What is causing my intermittent streaming problem with just one hearing aid?

Hi

I have a pair of Resound Linx Quattro RE961 rechargable hearing aids. They were replaced/repaired under warranty for battery problems 2 years ago but I’m now outside the warranty.

I stream from my Samsung S20 Ultra (android version 13) smartphone and from my TV using a Resound Streamer 2.

Both hearing aids make a beeping sound as normal when I scroll between the programmes.

I’ve been having intermittent streaming audio problems with the left aid. Sometimes streaming to the left aid works fine from my smartphone and tv streamer but mostly it doesn’t. What could have caused this?

I recently replaced the reciever wire on the left as the previous one made a buzzing noise at high pitch.

The new wire does not buzz but the volume of audio sound coming through is definitely less and often non existent when streaming.

If I’m not streaming audio I definitely recieve audio from both hearing aids as the sound around me feels in the middle of my head rather than towards the left or the right hearing aid.

What could be the cause of the loss of streaming audio to one hearing aid?

Will a hard reset make any difference?

could be simply electronics failing, receiver doesn’t pick up the signal.

the one in the hearing aids, not your receiver speaker in the ear.

Based on what my Costco fitter told me - basically don’t try to swap receivers/wires myself - that would be my first concern. Maybe unplug and re-attach?

And if after rebooting the phone, streamer, and TV doesent work, my swag is it’s time to upgrade your .

If you go the Costo rebranded Resound route (for ~$1,600), know that the Jabra 30s will need a phone upgrade as well. My Jabra 30s and Samsung S25 work very well together - with both a Resound Streaner 2 and a Streamer+.

My 4+ year old Resound Ones were sounding muffled after a receiver replacement and were also out of warranty.
