I’ve been wearing Phonak Audeo bi-cros for several years. My audiologist is now suggesting I switch to Signia with 8 speakers in each aid.
Any insights you can share? Thanks.

Biggest complaint I see is getting rechargeable and then the batteries only last 12 hours max. No personal experience, just going by what I see here on the forum.

Which Phonak Audio bi-cross do you have?
Like M, P …
Thanks
As mentioned, battery life on bi-cross type aid is important.

What,Audio bi-cross is claiming 8 microphones?
Edit: I see op is taking about Signia, but still 8 of them?

I currently have Phonak Audeo V90 and Phonak II .
I much prefer batteries vs. rechargeable, so I always have plenty of batteries with me.
Thank you.

Yes, that’s what the Audiologist told me. There is an app that lets a user identify specific mic direction to enhance hearing in different environments. I haven’t seen any brochures or materials nor have I tried the Signia yet. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.

UPDATE: I went to see a different audiologist (actually a Hearing Instrument Specialist) and she strongly recommended that I do a trial of the rechargeable Resound NX960S-DRWC and Resound CX160S-DRWC system. I’ll do the trial in January and keep everyone apprised.
The other option she recommended is Phonak. The Resound was a little less expensive.
Stay tuned.

Resound NX960S-DRWC
Resound Nexia has the latest .
Is that what you’ve chosen?
ReSound Nexia is equipped with Bluetooth® LE Audio, the new standard for connectivity. It allows multiple simultaneous connections and hands-free calls with other compatible devices, as well as higher sound quality with significantly lower battery consumption.

I have the Signia rechargeable and battery time is great for whole day performance. There is a lot of adjustability with your specialist and also from phone app. Apparently, IPhone is better than Android. I am able to focus the mics using phone app and find putting it to just front 180’ better than full 360’ which has more noise. Unfortunately, they are in for repair for the 2nd time in less than a year which is frustrating. I paid for these personally when the said they could not see me for a year. Previously the VA gave me Phonak before they had Bluetooth apps and I definitely like the new options using Bluetooth, for example using phone while driving is so much better to hear with.
