Greetings from a new member. I'll turn 72 in a few months and I have degrees in music performance and audio engineering. While my hearing is accurate as far as listening to music is concerned (quality of the recorded instruments themselves, recognizing excessive compression and limiting, balance, etc) l do have overall hearing loss that does have an impact. I also have hearing difficulties in noisy environments.
Widex Allure was recommended by the audiologist. But l am curious about the various Costco offerings. I know Widex is significantly more expensive but l am curious if the higher cost is worth it. Obviously the audio quality is extremely important to me. Since this is a long-term investment l am also curious if anybody has experience with Widex software and firmware updates as the technology improves. I appreciate all feedback.
