Widex Moment Sheer: Brand New User With Volume adjustment Question, Please

Hello,

Brand new user of a Moment Sheer 330 aid. One ear only.
Wow!

I find the CALM volume setting to be best.
But, the range I find using is OFF to 1
Not much adjustment possible.

Any way of expanding this range so I can pick a setting over a wider
scale for OFF to when the number 1 appears ?

In other words, perhaps make the OFF to 1 slider take up a lot more room.

Would sure make it a lot easier in picking out an optimum setting.

Welcome to the forum, your question is a little bit confusing, are you talking about adjusting the volume control within the App, if so you’ll need to get your audiologist to change the preference settings in compass from 3 steps to 9 to increase the range.

the volume at the lower volume settings in CALM ?

Sure you could make these changes yourself, you’ll need the Widex compass software and a Noahlink wireless programming device, it’s not hard at all, but you should do a little research on projects before you jump in. Just about everything you need to know can be found in the software.

Just a thought, Bob. As a brand new user, perhaps you’re uncomfortable going back to your audiologist for an adjustment. DON’T BE! It usually takes many repeat visits to tweak the settings on the aids so they work best for you. When @tenkan talks about the settings in compass, he’s just talking about the programs the audi uses to make changes to your Widex aids. He’s a super-experienced user, and is also into do-it-yourself programming. Most of the rest of us don’t do that, and you don’t need to either.

I was going to say the same thing. Your audiologist should be only too happy to answer any questions you may have. Make a list before you see him.
