Work abroad

Hi, I live in the UK. The lead audiologist in my local Specsavers qualified in India. So you could try contacting chains such as Specsavers and Boots to see if they would consider you.

There’s an Audiologists Abroad group on Facebook where you can ask about the entry/career requirements of any country.

Also the HCPC are very helpful in dealing with registration requirements.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve talked to Specsavers in the UK regarding the move.

The main hurdle is the HCPC registration. You have to get your college/university to fill out HCPC course information form.

Once you’re registered (the process can take 6-12months) then you can look into VISA options. health and care, skilled or ancestry.

I’m still in the early stages of doing this.

Let me know if you’ve made any progress.
