Resound Smartfit, Jabra Enhance Pro 20, device name change

Hi, I’ve went through all the menu options and have not been able to find a way to do it, but I’m going to assume this should be possible. How does one change the name programmed on the actual hearing aid devices using the resound smartfit software?(NOT renaming bluetooth device as I know how to do that already)

Right now both may aids have my first name followed by a capital “H” programmed into the device. Sure I can rename the bluetooth device name on whatever devices I pair to, but the aids will always use the name programmed into the aids by default on any new devices. How do I change the name of the aids that the fitter programmed into the aids?

You mean to change the client name, yeah so you could edit your name in the client list to what you wanted in SmartFit

So my name is Wilson, client name on smartfit software when I created new profile is my full name. However the name programmed into my aides since I bought them from Costco is “Wilson H” which is what I want to change. Does smartfit automatically just use clients first name and add a H to indicate hearing aid to program the device name into the aids?

Well just out of curiosity, as I’ve not noticed, but what happens if you make a “new” client with the name you want to use, connect and then save? That’s the name that should come up in bluetooth settings and when you connect to the App, so you must remove old pairings and redo all of this and then it should good?

You have your connected to SmartFit when you open this window and you can’t enter anything?

Of course it can Only in client base then, that’s strange that the pop up window can’t be changed tho, your mobile device is not available there.
Actually I just thought of something, is your phone set up for remote support I wonder if that’s something to look at, I’ve never used that as I’m strictly .

The phone was setup for remote from costco, but after i tinkered with copied profile and saved over the original settings the remote fitting was disabled since I did not have a fitter login so it just saves locally onto device and my pc

Yeah so this could be the issue, I didn’t know you needed a “log in” to set this up, I always recommend making up 2 clients when first sitting up in SmartFit, one for your original audiology settings and one for your projects, but probably not going to help with this issue if you can’t access the remote support without a “log in” anyway.
