Does anyone have this older Streamer 2 sitting in a box and no longer needed? Or tempted to upgrade to the new model? Please get in touch with your asking price, thank you.

eBay is an excellent source for used ReSound TV Streamer 2’s and other models at low prices, and I’ve bought several there. However keep in mind that the ones there are often refurbished or heavily used models, so they may have a shorter lifespan than new ones you’d get from an audiologist; of course they’re far cheaper, too, so you may be able to get two or three and come out ahead financially of getting one new one from an audiologist.
Be sure TV Streamer 2 works with your ReSound aids before buying; only certain models can use TS2. Connecting or pairing TS2 to your aids is not intuitive. Download the instructions or look for a video showing how to connect them, and follow the instructions carefully with no shortcuts. And the instructions were written for replaceable-battery hearing aids; if your batteries are rechargeable, you can still use TS2, but you’ll have to do it a bit differently than the written instructions. Look for a YouTube video.
The eBay ones for sale may be marked as is, no returns, working in the sense that they power up, but the seller has no way to test them. I would pass on those. True, even when a seller says “no returns,” if the item doesn’t match the description, eBay forces sellers to accept returns, but if it powers up as it says in the listing and doesn’t work right, you’re probably out of luck if that’s how they described it, which is why you should pass on a listing like that which says “no returns.” If on the other hand, they say it works but they don’t accept returns, well, eBay will force a refund if you say it doesn’t work. Test it out quickly.

For an alternative way to go, using the cheaper ReSound Multi Mic or Micro Mic, which you can also find on eBay, see my post #2 in this thread:
Another option to consider (I’m assuming this is compatible with Jabras, as with ReSound aids, and it likely is) is a ReSound Micro Mic or ReSound Multi Mic. Turn it on and place it near the TV speakers. You can leave it turned on and connected to a charger at all times. The disadvantage to it is that it will pick up ambient room noise too, though this is not a major problem in many relatively quiet locations, as the TV dialogue is easy to follow even with a little ambient noise. As with the TV …
