Buy Current Aid or Wait For 2026 Replacement?

Someone told me that Phonak, Resound and Starkey are developing hearing aids with xMems technology, which will have huge advantages for those with severe/profound hearing loss, and will probably be launched on the market towards the end of 2026/beginning of 2027: does anyone know anything more?

Looks like the form factor of xMEMS speakers doesn’t lend itself well for RIC HAs. Might be good for BTE though.
