Thanks, great stuff…this is what I was thinking on exploring with the programs, to be able to pick a program with settings I want right away instead of making several adjustments to Auto.

I’m particularly interested in a music program and tinkering with one program that is fully optimized for noise reduction, although that might be very similar to Party.

If I understand your post, you can create your own programs with defaults that you set? If so can point me in the right direction to learn more about how to do that? I haven’t found that on this site but will search again. I like the creative use of balance for your driving program as well.

Yes you can create programs, but there are several default programs, noise, music etc that are pretuned to your audiogram, you can find help in the diy area of the forum, Ask for the fitting software you need and someone will send you a pm. the first time you start the fitting software use the settings from your aids then save that and start a new client and again use the settings from your aids and use the new client to make changes. You can always go back to your first saved client if you make changes you don’t like. The vented power domes are great and comfortable.

I’ll ask what direction is fixed in Party when I go for my adjustment.‘’‘’’ I believe the setting you’re talking about is called ‘‘noise party’’, I would also like to know what your fitter says about the direction, because I find noise party to be the best setting for me when in a small group of people or quiet restaurant and I want to speak to my dinner partner.
I find that the noise party isolates my speaker better than The automatic setting with the adjustable cone. Because the cone will not stay fixed at 90 degrees, every time I restart the hearing aids it goes back to the full 360 degrees in the automatic setting.

I have the new Reach inoX Li80, so nearly the same as yours just less mics and tech.
Costco audiologist or tech initially only had Automatic enabled. I went back complaining of difficulties in parties and they enabled two new manual programs:
Noise / Party
Reverb Reducer

I actually find the reverb reducer with the volume jacked to 11 works the best for me (severe high freq loss) but it’s difficult to compare on the fly. Makes everything super loud and sharp, but at least I can understand people more. It’s also my first HAs.

Try requesting the reverb reducer to be added for parties and echoy environments.
