I’ve had my spheres under 50% at the end of one day only once. My 45th hs reunion last weekend. They had it in a casino. I lived in sphere from when the door opened to go in until I stepped out. Even the restrooms! Probably close to 4 hours. I felt like it was not bad. (A casino is a terrible choice for a reunion, though!)

WHAT

I was in autosense, but it is clear to me when spherical is active since my activevents close and the sound profile changes dramatically. I tried switching between speech in noise and spherical, but speech in noise just didn’t do it. It was hard enough with spherical. So I went back to auto and let it use spherical. I might forget otherwise. Why it was only like 47% and 49%, I don’t know. It was exhausting. Lights flashing, all those different sounds blaring from all the machines and then the “music”. Yuck. I felt assaulted!

I saw folks I hadn’t seen since school. Others I haven’t seen in only 10 years or so. I’d say it was worth it. But when the wife unit said, “Is there anyONE else you want to talk to before we leave?” I knew she’d had enough. There was a spouse that went to our university and enough in common they kept each other entertained, but. I think they both were really good sports!
