Edit: Doesn’t need to be anything special. Anything that will cover the microphones. A headband works great.

Ear Gear sleeves are very good.

I run plain black on my KS10s as it looks relatively smart and protects against dirt, moisture etc as well a lessening wind noise. These aren’t waterproof so a total deluge or a hard effort on the bike will eventually saturate them but they dry very quickly.

Previously i had bright blue sleeves to make my last pair of stand out (as in, giving hearing people a slight clue) but they ended up being the wrong size for my KS10s.

Wind noise while riding my ebike used to bother me, but not since I added “Cat Ears” to my helmet straps. They are fuzzy attachments that divert most of the air flow away from the wearer’s ears. Available on Amazon for less than $20.

the wind noise red was a new feature introduced with the Oticon Real. Perhaps this was a featured view as not a priority, do remember Phonak just had its first 2 long years after Oticon, thus they will prob trying to catch up first

There are two different Infineo lines, one includes the Sphere technology, one does not.

I don’t understand how some people say the wind blocks work, and others say it is useless.
The wind-block is supposed to be part of the auto-sense program right?

I’ve tried a separate program, supposedly blocking wind frequencies, but it didn’t help at all.
Also tried longer wires, hoping the aids would ‘hide’ behind my ears more. No use also.

The wind noise is the same (meaning just as bad) as on my previous marvels 90, and the Phonaks I had the five years before that.

O well, for now I’ll probably stick with the marvels, as at least it’s easier to turn them off while riding my bicycle (without a helmet, with a pretty bald head).

Have you talked to your audiologist about the issue. The amount of wind block can be adjusted inside the Target software. Maybe the issue is how yours is set.

Your shows you are a good candidate for using the Apple AirPod Pro 2’s when you are using the bicycle one guy that talks on the Facebook link says he uses them when he is riding his motorcycle he sets the noise reduction, which is active noise reduction to kill the noise. He said they do a better job than earplugs your hearing loss is mild enough that they would work for you when you’re active and don’t want to put up with your expensive hearing aids. You see lots of guys using them that are younger and have mutilated hearing loss like you do instead of using full-time hearing aids.

I’m a big fan of ear gear. Just got back from cycling in NL last week. Did 180 miles and always use the ear gear. I am a Phonak user since paradise, have lumity and now infinio and ear gear solved everything for me.

I tried Cats Ears and they were ok but if you are riding without a helmet they won’t be for you. I would never not use a helmet tho no matter how casual the ride is.

I use the ear gear on my old Paradise as my riding aids and I have a pair of Infinio Spheres for my day to day life.

I do about 2-3000 miles a year on the bike and have tried lots of things.

p.s. as I’m about to turn in my non-Sphere Infinio’s, and stay with my old Marvels, do you think Infinio is way better than the Marvel or Paradise (or even Lumity in your case)?

Infinio Sphere is without a doubt the best experience in hearing aids I have ever had. The on the Spheres in a noisy environment are game changing and I have written about that on here and on LinkedIn.

Paradise to Lumity was minimal. Paradise to Spheres is basically what I had hoped hearing aids would do for me. Speech in noise is always what it’s about and my life now is improved with the AI.

BTW the ear gear won’t eliminate all wind noise. Nothing can do that other than turning the microphone off which sounds about the dumbest thing you can do on a bike but it does reduce it significantly.

Last week was really windy in NL and it never really bothered me at all.
