The Phonak Lumity came out in August 2022, so coming up on three years with this model hearing aid. Phonak usuallly replaces current aids after a two to three year time period. So sure looks like something new could come out this September.

Infinio platform has already been released, so I hope you guys are right an UP is in September.

I don’t expect sphere for Naida hearing aids. Because unitron didn’t get a sphere version, only a version of the regular infinio. … I hope I’m wrong but I think Sphere was exclusive to phonak audeo only. Sphere could come to all hearing aids only in the next version that is not Infinio.

I don’t expect sphere for Naida hearing aids.
Why do you think so? In the past, Bolero and possibly Naida (I don’t have experience with UP ) had all the features of Audeo.

There have been a two or three Naida UP generations skipped. One was the Marvel that I remember off the top of my head.
From search.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Naída (2008):
The original Naída was the first Phonak hearing aid designed specifically for severe hearing loss, according to Bravo Hearing Centre. It featured a water-resistant design and introduced SoundRecover technology to improve perception of high-frequency sounds, according to Bravo Hearing Centre.
Naída Q:
This generation followed the original Naída, likely incorporating advancements in technology and design.
Naída B:
The fifth generation, Naída B, was introduced for severe to profound hearing loss and included features like greater audibility of high-pitched sounds and improved speech understanding.
Naída Paradise:
The seventh generation, Naída Paradise, offers even smaller and lighter devices with improved sound quality and connectivity.
Naída Lumity:
The latest generation, Naída Lumity, is the successor to Naída Paradise and is touted as Phonak’s most powerful hearing aid to date,

I got the impression that infinio sphere is an experimental version. Infinio nija without sphere is the basic version. and they will insert that basic version into the naida hearing aids. The next line of hearing aids will have sphere as the basic version, it is possible that like starkey, they will keep smaller dimensions,

I have never heard any rumblings of a naida sphere, and no hint of the naida infinio yet. The virto rechargeable infinio was promised last November but didn’t make it through QC. I think they’ve been working very hard on those and I’ve heard rumor that they are close again. If they HAD been released then i would have expected some of the out in the fall this year, but i don’t know if they’ve been pushed back.
The range of the SP has gotten quite close to the UP now, and so I also won’t be that surprised if the frequency of UP release drops.

I received the Phonack L-UP hearing aids on June 13. the molds and are much too large and I imagine would be suitable for a man. I am a woman and they have been nothing but problematic for me. I have worn mainly by Oticon for the past 40 years. Can anyone tell me if these are what you are speaking about, the Phonack L-UP? i realize my is not good but these do not seem to be the answer. They ae noisy, have static, and simply do not fit well. Adjusting the volume is another of many problems.
Will see my Audie on follow up appointment Friday and am curious as to what the outcome will be. Also, upon using the TV attachment causes me to hold both ears in order to hear the program, along with CC, of course. Obviously I need help and quickly.

@maggie07, you can try the Phonak Audeo Infinio Sphere 70 or 90 with UP receiver and cShells. I am not sure UP receiver for will be powerful enough compared to power hearing aids like Naida Lumity UP, but it is worth a try.
It can be checked by by looking whether rhe achieve target gains.

@maggie07 I think you have the Lumity version if that’s correct, as L stands for Lumity, and UP stands Ultra Power (if I’m not mistaken), UP is the bit that goes into your ear and delivers the sounds.
You might want to try the new Infinio Sphere if your Audi has them.
It seems like there is a need for a period of adjustment (coming from Oticon ) as Lumity is still a good hearing aids.
The more feedback you give your Audi, the better the adjustments he can make.
UP version fits your hearing loss that is from your .
If the bit that goes into your ear (the receiver) isn’t where it should be, then you will struggle, therefore a good mold that fit your ear is paramount to you hearing well with those (any) hearing aids.
Good luck

Thank you both and I am hoping my Audi has something else for me to try on Friday. It is a mold that is in my ear with an additional flap that covers even more and it just seems too large for me.
thank you also Bimodel user and i will let you know that something good will happen on Friday although I may have to wait again for new ones.

HI Maggie, I would not be able to use the Phonak Naida L-UP because it’s not compatible with and there is no CROS unit that’s available for it. The only CROS that’s available for the Lumity is for the SP power range, which I don’t understand why Phonak ever did such a stupid thing instead of making CROS available to everyone. I am working with my Oticon hearing aids (Oticon XCeed1 BTE UP plus CROS) for now until I can upgrade to the Phonak Infinio non-Spheres plus CROS. This one will be a first for me because I have used custom acrylic full shell ear molds my whole life, so I will be switching to not only custom ear molds for the Infinio Audeo Non-Spheres plus CROS, but also switching to a new RIC form factor. My audiologist says there isn’t any reason physically why I can’t, it’s just a matter of how well I adapt to it. So, we will see how I do when I can upgrade and do the trial.
My Oticons are okay. My gripe with them is that they reboot randomly on a daily basis, depending on where I am in my house. And it’s always near the same place. The good news is that they never reboot when I am outside doing normal activities, so that’s nice. I preferred my Phonak Naida B90 plus CROS (they died on me on May 27th of this year which was to be expected because I’ve had those aids since 2018) because of the fact that to my ears they had better sound quality and they never, ever, ever rebooted randomly the entire time I had them. Ever.

@codergeek2015, it would be worth trying to make a comparison:
Infinio R 90 + vs. unilateral Infinio Sphere 90.
Probably +10 from in Sphere could be better than SNR with CROS. I could lie in my bed, with my back to the entrance to the kitchen where my mum was and hear her. YMMV.

That would be an interesting comparison indeed, @Bimodal_user!! I will bring this up as a possibility with my audiologist to try. Thank you for the great idea!! ![]()

Phonak L-UP could be the Naida aids or the Audio aids.
Do you know which you have?

I have the and they are awful. Large molds don’t fit and they make sounds that have me readjusting them all day.
