Phonak hearing aids go mute when I turn one off

Just noticed that when I turn one aid off, the other one goes mute. I still have to turn that one off manually. Is this a problem or the way they work? Aids are Phonak P90. I had another pair previously, but have never seen them behave that way. Any idea?

Just tested this with mine and it doesn’t turn the left one off if I turn the right one off.

If in Target the funktion: “muting via button” is activated for the hearing aids, then you mute both devices by pressing the button for ~1 second.
Probably in this case, if you turn only one hearing aid off with long button press (>2 seconds), the other hearing aid mutes.

What happens, if you press the (down) button for ~1 second on the muted hearing aid?

You could also check in Traget the settings for the buttons , if the mute option (via buttonpress) is activated.
