Audioclip (aka Partner Mic) on Philips Hearlink 9050 keeps dropping out?

I have new Philips Hearlink 9050 from Costco in Australia. They work well (can’t wait for the Bluetooth LE update and ). I have the Audioclip as well and it works fine when it’s on. The problem is that it “drops out” after about 90 seconds or so ang goes back to the main program!!?? No one else seems to have mentioned this so I’m wondering if it is just me (perhaps not many use the Audioclip?). Do you have any advice or even a suggestion of where I can better place this query so that I might get more feedback? (I’m praying that the LE update may improve this but I wonder why?) Thanks

The 9050 already has the latest , and is supposed to be coming soon by way of a firmware update to the , but it seems your phone may be the issue with drop outs.
We need to know what make & model phone you have to determine that issue.

Thanks flashb1024, that has been my fear. I have a very old (but still meeting my needs) iPhone6!! I guess I know how you will respond :grin: I just thought I’d ask around before upgrading!

According to Philips, per this link,the iPhone 6 should work for streaming, and use the Audioclip for hands-free calls, so since I’m an android guy, I really can’t guide you, but I’d venture a guess the apple support ran out for that model, and that could be the reason you’re having issues.
You may try doing a search: iphone 6 hearlink 50 drop out and see a lot of results.

You know how you often feel a lot better when you are actually sitting in the Doctor’s waiting room?? Well that’s a bit of how I feel with the issue on this thread!! After being unable to get the Partner Microphone working properly for some months, the help and links from flashb1024 got me thinking!
For some reason the partner mic can be linked to both the Has and the phone - exactly why you would like the mic paired to the phone escapes me but … so I unpaired the mic from everything, re-paired it only with the Has and “Bob became my Uncle!” All good here and “she who must be obeyed” is very happy!! I am too!! Thanks so much!!

Just a follow up (and I hope Philips are reading this) I have had to take my Philips Hearlink 9050 back to Costco and swap them for The Sennheiser Sonite R simply because the Audioclip (aka Partner Mic) just wouldn’t stay connected and kept “dropping out” as described above.
This drove my wife mad and was also very annoying when working with my three year old grandchild (a working Partner Mic makes looking after a child and understanding them crucial)

I was very sorry to lose the Bluetooth LE and potential connections (when they come along). I had tried to hit up Philips Support but the just gave the advice others have given here about limiting Bluetooth connections,
I think there is something wrong with the Hearlink I was given but I can’t prove that , of course. Significantly perhaps, the Costco audiologist ,said that they weren’t pushing the Philips now that they had access to the Sennheiser because “older people found them confusing”!
If pushed, I would say that I thought the Phillips were “slightly better” in noise and music but hearing is far from an exact science! My old Phonak Partner Mic still works with the Sennheisers so my wife is very happy and I can communicate with the grandchild!!
The vagaries of being hearing impaired!!
