MICROTECH Summit iQ I1000 with HiPro 2

I’m trying to program my MICROTECH Summit iQ I1000 13 hearing aids at home. I’m using a 5X HiPro 2 programmer with CS44 straight cables. The HiPro itself is recognized correctly, but Starkey Inspire X can’t detect the hearing aids.

I’m not sure what the issue is. Maybe I’m using the wrong cables or missing some kind of adapter? Or perhaps the MICROTECH devices require different software instead of Starkey Inspire X?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

With Starkey Inspire X you can programm MICROTECH Summit iQ , and other Starkey Multibrand hearing aids, like Nuear, Audibel etc…

For startup the multibrand instance of Inspire you have to start Inspire X with an Windows Run Commando

For Starkey multibrand install normal latest Starkey Inspire X and Starkey Patientbase , then startup the software with the Windows Run command.

Press Windows-Key + R and enter the desired command line.

For programming Microtech

Press Windows-Key and “R” together.

then copy and paste the following string (run commando) into the field and press Enter

C:\Program Files (x86)\Starkey Laboratories\Inspire OS\Starkey.Inspire.Host.PatientBase.exe launch MicroTechFitting

First you see the startup splash screen for the Inspire Microtech instance

Then enter your credentials (Username and Passwort) for your Patientbase account

Inspire will show a screen and ask about your region and language.

Yes, you’re right. Now I realize that I have the wrong cables. I’m using CS44, but I need ‘purple’ ones. I’ll try to fix that. Thank you so much!

Let us know if you get the “purple” Starkey ones, they do seem to be near impossible to find anywhere.

Say what, is it true that Starkey purple are just CS44a cables in disguise, no? Which adaptors fit the Phonak CS44a as the CS44 are for ReSound /Oticon and the OP says he’s using CS44? You’ve mentioned CS40.

My bad , I meant the standard cs44 Phonak cables can be used with an adapter to program Starkey . I made the adapter a view years ago and still have the self made adaptors in a drawer.

MiniPro+Adapters+CS44

I’ve received the extension cables and managed to turn them into proper adapters. In the end, the pinout looks like this:

Mini-DIN male→ Mini-DIN female
1 — 1
2 — 4
3 — 2
4 — 3

I’m a bit confused by the name, I’m not sure what “Atom m10D M/P w” means.
But apart from that, everything seems to be working fine.

Lucky you, yeah great news, I have no idea what Atom is but it must be Powerful.

Great! Well done, and thanks for the pinout scheme. Because I lost my drawing from back then. I could have found out the pin assignment of my adapters with a test device, but I don’t have access to a multimeter at the moment.

Could be the Country settings in Inspire. Perhaps the Summit iQ were sold as Atom m in Eastern Europe. For a test, you could change the country settings to USA to find out if the device name changes
