Have you guys seen this? Apparently Rexton has said that the Reaches will not get after all per Rexton. Looks like current Signias won’t get it either (Per their web page FAQ).
I saw the video, I am disappointed but the Reach still has LEAudio and with a dongle I can hear my pc or tv etc. sounds like a great thing but do I really need it, most likely not. With my aids I do just fine at the movies and concerts and Auracast will not help in noisy places.
will make cued dancing much better for me. So I’m not buying any hearing aid without it.
Others may find it’s a game changer when going to church, attending plays, sport bars TVs, airport terminals and so on. However, not everyone does those sort of activities, and for them maybe it’s not important.
First off, it seems wrong that the way we get information on these things is by some random user talking to some random csr and posting back on social media. Is it too much to ask that manufacturers put out official positions through their own official channels? We shouldn’t have to guess.
I don’t have any skin in the game in respect to Rexton but I do in respect to . I want it to get out there asap. For that, we need manufacturers to implement it now. Waiting for some future where every church and every cinema has transmitters installed doesn’t cut it any more. Anticipate future demand and implement it now, advocate for it now. That’s what Resound is doing.
And technically, Auracast is part of . It was given its own name for marketing reasons well after the spec was announced, but it’s still part of the LE Audio specification. When a manufacturer says that their product supports LE Audio I’ve always taken that to mean it supports Auracast.
Also, good for those of us who don’t need assistive technology in public spaces and in their living rooms. Many of us do. You might get there some day. And when that day comes you might be thankful for those companies and individuals who advocated for it back in 2025. Part of advocacy is insisting on it when you make your next purchasing decision. Rant over.
I thought this as well, but they seem to have separated and , Signia gave the LE Audio firmware update a while back with no mention of Auracast for whatever reason.
It’s a grey area I guess but I always expected would include broadcast functionality. The first search I did threw up this response.
Bluetooth LE Audio supports both unicast and broadcast audio streaming. Unicast is a point-to-point connection, similar to traditional Bluetooth audio, while broadcast allows an audio source to send audio to multiple devices simultaneously without individual connections. These two modes leverage different Isochronous Streams: Connected Isochronous Streams (CIS) for unicast and Broadcast Isochronous Streams (BIS) for broadcast.
