The battery life on my 3 year old KS10 is finally in the unbearable range. It lasts about 7 hours with minimal amount of streaming.
I ordered replacement battery LIR7854 which seems to be a good match dimensionally. I opened the hearing aid and used a scalpel to trim off glue. I cut off the battery cable and eventually removed the entire battery housing. Instead of fitting the battery inside the housing I simply attached the battery using adhesive foam and then soldered the terminals. The bare wires were insulated using silicone glue. The hearing aid is back in working state. It remains to be seen how long the battery lasts, but it’s hard to imagine anything worse than before.
The hardest part is definitely removing the old battery housing and pulling out the wires. Soldering small wires like this required a microscope and steady hands.
