Can Cheap Generic Domes Replace Signia Domes on Connexx M Power Mini Receiver 3?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using a Signia hearing aid with the Connexx M Power Mini Receiver 3, and I’m looking to try out different types of domes—open, closed, double, etc.—to see which one works best for me in terms of comfort and sound quality. The problem is, buying multiple official Signia domes can get pretty expensive, especially when you’re just experimenting.

So I’m wondering: has anyone here tried using cheap generic domes as replacements? Do they actually fit the Connexx M Power Mini Receiver 3 properly? I’m considering options from places like Amazon, eBay, or AliExpress, but I don’t want to end up wasting money on domes that don’t fit or don’t work well.

If anyone has experience with affordable alternatives, I’d really appreciate your input. Even better if you’ve found specific brands or sources that are worth trying—or worth avoiding. Just trying to avoid emptying my wallet while finding the right setup.

The most important part when choosing a dome is that it has to be a fit for your hearing loss. If you share your audiogram, folks here can recommend domes without having to do random testing, hence saving you $$$. For example, if you have moderate to severe loss, an open dome will not work. A power dome will not work well if you have good low/mid frequency hearing. If you are 6’2", a small dome will most likely not work.

Some Signia domes and sleeves solidly attach with a “click” to the receiver. If that’s what you have you’ll need to stick with Connexx domes. If they just push on without a distinct click, other domes might be compatible, but be cautious. It’s very easy to get a dome stuck in your ear.

Amazon carries the connexx domes for a reasonable price, and if you diy changing domes in the fitting software is easy

Yes. If you are going to try different domes, start with the open and then move towards the more closed ones (if the open domes don’t work, you will find that out very quickly)

I have Signia IX hearing aids as spares and they use “Mini Receiver 3”.

I found them compatible with pretty much all domes from other vendors. Some might sit a little less snug, but not to the point where they come off super easily. I also tried generic domes from Aliexpress, which are actually my favourites, even for my primary EP20 aids.

The previous “Signia Mini Receiver 2” models are NOT compatible though. They use Signia’s click mechanism which is too different to be interchangeable.
