No don’t worry about the email address, you did save and exit so all good, you have some leakage on the left if your still getting feedback with a power dome? Maybe you ment closed, so anyways you gotta try and make a tight seal, medium or large size, you need to find the right size, always recalibrate the feedback when you change domes etc, just on the left side, after this then you could try lowering, but you have room to increase gain, but only if you decide that things aren’t loud enough as it is, you put in experience user that was good, also don’t forget you can try different formulas, the proprietary one is always a bit less then say NAL on overall gain, etc

Thank you. I have unusually shaped ear canals. Especially my left. I’ve literally tried every size and type of dome except molded. I can tell it’s not sealing because I don’t have any occlusion. On my right I actually have to pull the dome out a little or it is occluded sounding. No feedback either. I think I might need to have a mold made. My ear has no wax. One thing though. I have those ear locks on them and it feels like the lock on the left is preventing me from inserting it the amount it needs. I forgot the technical name for the ear locks. They look like a zip tie.
If the audiologist doesn’t fix the feedback and the left ear from cutting out Tuesday I will run calibration now that the medium dome I am using isn’t real bad at feedback. Also see what he thinks about a mold. I don’t think I would like dealing with a mold. Anyways. Thank you again.

On the “sign in needed” screen, to the left of the continue button at the bottom is one that is in blue and hard to see which says “skip and save”. The sign in stuff is only to send setting changes to your audiologist’s system. Obviously you don’t want to do that, so just tap “skip and save”.

Also you can remove the zip tie lock if you want. You may not need it anyway. And you can always put it back again.

Went to audiologist today. He seemed ok with my diy. But. Then again maybe not. He didn’t say much. He got my feedback out but at the cost of an annoying rattle. Like a blown speaker would make. It’s so bad I went back and asked the desk if he could fix it. She said he said no. For me to go to my ear dr and find out why my ear is swollen. So. I figure I’ll save this profile and try and see what he changed. Maybe I can find a medium. If not I can revert back to before whatever he did. Too bad he didn’t tell me.

I am proud of myself. I saved a third profile. So I could try and see what he did today. Named it Rattle Ear. Haha. Can’t believe I found it. He had sound shaper on moderate. Which was enough to make it sound like a blown speaker. He had put a super small dome on my reciever also. But. I moved the slider to mild since what he did actually got rid of feedback but introduced a rattle. Anyways. These settings are temporary because my ear is infected and swollen. I seen my ear Dr right after my audiologist and she said that we needed to heal my ear and then re check my fitting. She had talked to him. They’re in the same building.
Anyways. At least now I can wear them with out that annoying rattle. Sounds the best it ever has because I’ve always had feedback.
I just wanted to share everything in this thread. I will leave a screenshot. Thank you all.
One question. I clicked save. Then I think it was save and exit smart fit. When do I need to click finalize? The other day I swapped an app (in smart fit) out for music to show in my phone app but it wouldn’t show till I clicked finalize.
It seems my change from moderate to mild took affect. Not hearing the rattle but ocd is making me wanna go back in and look.

This is the dome he put on my left one. You can see the normal one on the right one in the back ground. I’ve searched for these domes and haven’t found them yet. Anyone have a link? Or know what name they can be found under. Thank you. I did find 5mm for Starklys that look similiar. Might try an image search.

This post is mainly to vent. No pun intended. Haha. Anyways. As you know if you read above my audiologist changed my settings by moving sound shaper to moderate from none. Causing a rattle. I told him that very min it was rattling like a blown speaker. He still gets up and starts walking to the door which means session was over.
I then went next door to my ear dr who said my ear was swollen and infected. I told her what he did. She didn’t have a lot to say. She gave me three different types of ear drops. Told me to wear my hearing aids as little as possible for a week or so.
I then went back to the audiologist and asked the girl at the desk to ask him if he could fix the noise. She came back and said he said no. Woulda been nice if he woulda at least told me to lower sound shaper or turn it off.
So now I come home and luckily found the change he made and fixed it. Best they’ve sounded.
What upsets me is his lack of communication. Plus lack empathy. First I wish he’d let me see the screen so I can see what he’s doing or at least communicate with me what he’s doing. End of rant.

You can only get reports for sessions that have been saved on your PC. If you wanted a report from before you connected to your PC, then it would have to come from his PC.

Ok thank you. I learned about that feature from the videos I have. I think I am going to ask him if I can see the screen next time. Also. I am going to see if there’s a different Audi in my town today. Talk to you later buddy.

Just to put it all in context, in one of the consulting rooms at the clinic where I go, they had a 32 inch TV on the wall, connected to the Audiologist’s PC, so that even older people with poor eyesight can see what is going on. And they played music through a mini hifi if you wanted (it was rubbish so I always said no thank you!)

And we talk to each other constantly, except when I’m supposed to keep quiet.

I setup my laptop in front of me to play music. A tv beside me and then talked while changing settings in smart fit 2.3. My resound Vivia 7’s have never sounded so good. I even got rid of feed back. My audiologist had about 7 sessions and couldn’t get them to sound good. I am glad I learned to diy. Thanks to all who helped. Doug
