I think that the disagreeing audiologist was at the place @monke purchased the aids. That’s the reason for trying to find an audiologist who’ll make the molds with a 0.6 mm vent.

I didn’t see that anyone had mentioned Westone. They are a major supplier for all types of earmolds.
Westone Laboratories provides hearing healthcare products like earmolds, hearing protection, and supplies for audiology practices and also serves the military with hearing protection and communications equipment.

deep fit!
Something I forgot to mention about Lloyd’s mold impression kits is that cotton pad has a string attached to it. This string hangs out of the ear while impression is made.
I personally did not have to pull on this string but if the impression broke leaving material behind it could be used to get the remaining material out of the ear canal. Neville’s post got me to thinking.

Westone made some nice custom noise protection plugs. They even have changeable filters to adjust the levels of sound impedance.

Not sure about this but is it possible your hearing has changed so that the vent size is/should be different? I have a very small vent in one mold and a much bigger one in the other. My hearing is definitely different in my two ears. I have to sign an affidavit each time I get hearing aids to verify that I am aware of the signficant difference.
