A little Right Coast Math with backup……..
Costco sales per SF average is $1633/SF at time of chart below.
If one Costco sells 2 hearing aids per store/per day, that would be 365x2 = 730/year
At $1600/ times 730/year = $1,168,000/year sales
$1,168,000/200SF per center = $5840.00 sales per SF of Hearing Center. Which means HA sales per SF for Costco blows away average sales per SF.

What is this hilarious left-right coast stuff? I’m a Costco customer in Canada. Others here are in Europe, UK, etc. Which coasts are those in your scenario? The only “end of story” here is that some fitters likely have some enlightening stories that I wish their employers would allow them to post.

The initial sunk cost, yes. But once the equipment is in place, then no the cost isn’t higher.
Why doesn’t mention the optical center, pharmacy, alcohol or the membership desk, and yes California is where Costco has the most stores and makes a good chunk of their money.
In addition, revenue isn’t net profit.

All signs point to a fictional account by a disgruntled independent hearing aid dispenser posing as a consumer. I’ve noted more of these popping up on hearing aid users discussion groups. On Facebook you can sometimes link back to find their occupation revealed. Whoops - LOL!
