Can anyone direct message me about the fitting software for the Philips 9050. I am trialing a pair from Costco. Very familiar with other fitting software but do not have access to this one yet!

Hi there, great your giving a go on these, should be straight forward for you being familiar with others, it’s actually quite basic compared to some.

I was just getting on to get a comparison between the Philips software and SmartFit. Could you elaborate on your comment: “basic compared to some.” I have been DIYing my Jabra’s for several years. I am currently trying the Philips 9050 and have not yet downloaded the software (I use a Mac, so DIYing is a pretty big hassle involving a 14 year old Dell).
I would love to know which software you (or anyone else reading this) personally prefer and why. Thanks.

I can confirm the Philips HearSuite software is easy to use and feels intuitive. It took me less than a few minutes to familiarize myself and feel confident. Everything is laid out really cleanly. I’d compare it to Phonak’s Target software.
I don’t have any experience with SmartFit (Resound, Jabra) as it was the only software I had trouble fully installing.
I found Connexx (Signia, Rexton) to be the most daunting and complex on first sight, but the streaming offsets feature looks useful for changing how streamed audio sounds. On the Philips the only feature I can’t seem to find is a streaming + music program. There’s no bluetooth program to modify like in Target. But you can modify those settings (like reducing mic when streaming) elsewhere.
I found Compass (Widex) to be by far the most underwhelming fitting software. It looks ancient, is slow, and has very minimal features and customization. I wonder how new Compass Cloud looks for the most recent Widex hearing aids, but that is the only fitting software unavailable for self-fitters.

HI there, great your giving a go on these, should be interesting to see how you compare them, it’s Phillips Hearsuite software and if course the Noahlink wireless programming device, cheers
