Your are correct as far as models goes. Let me explain a bit better. The hearing aids have poor mic performance during a call through Bluetooth. I was at a point of returning them. I self fit mine and found no way to adjust Bluetooth streaming call quality or audio streaming quality. I found out that during a call a separate program shores up for phone calls and with this hidden program that only appears while only on a call you can increase the noise reduction and wind reduction that drastically fixed my poor mic performance the same applies to audio streaming

The jabra and the resounds are pretty much the same as far as fitting software and features. Thea’s will have the same features just relabeled a different name than the resound

Yes I agree with all of that. But I don’t know how the settings you mention could affect call quality because as far as I know, they only adjust the surroundings and not the phone call/streamer. I will need to explore further.

Btw I don’t think they are secret menus. They are there when they are needed. I am very familiar with them. And the fitting software for Jabra and Resound models is exactly the same. The apps are interchangeable too.

Are we talking about volume, not like the quality as in the 3 band equaliser, you can change Bass and treble while streaming media.

yes also the quality of the streaming sound its the darnest thing , it also impact sound qulity and mic quality on calls. when i was having issue with a person on calls they say they couldnt hear me due to wind and severe background noise . i found that the call program had the noise filter turned off and the wind supression also tyrned off. set those two to full on and the mic quality on a call became much better for the other person they can hear me much better now

But yes you can adjust streaming and phone call quality (tone controls etc but not balance/volume) in the Vivia. This is particularly interesting as you can no longer do that in SmartFit (at least not in SmartFit 2.1. I haven’t got round to trying SmartFit 2.2 yet).

try to switch to the app while you are on a call or streaming something via bluetooth and you will see the program switch to phone call and there you can adjust further and the ame thing for streaming

Yeah, I can manually override on tha app but I was mentioning the default seems to be adjustable in SmartFit. I have a Noahlink and the SmartFit program and did some self adjustments on my old original Jabra’s but haven’t felt the need to adjust these. I changed stores when I got these 30’s and the tech seems to know her stuff and has set them up really well for my loss. When I was picking up my molds I mentioned wind noise on my walks while streaming, she did a quick adjustment and after I noticed the default noise and wind reduction settings were changed. To be honest the adjustment didnt really help with wind noise, which is kinda strange because I had the pro 20’s for like 4 months before I returned them and they were good with wind. So maybe I will tinker around in SmartFit and see if I can improve the wind noise reduction. The noise suppression also seems to aggressive even when turned down, but it only bothers me when there is slight background noise like a fan on or refrigerator cycling. Then the suppression seems to get kinda confused and kicks in aggressively, then backs off, then settles into a decent level, but repeats every few minutes.

The nose suppression and wind noise control for the up to four programs can be set in SmartFit as you say. But you have a quite limited range of things that you can set in SmartFit for phone calls/streaming. It is different for Vivia/EP30 compared with Omnia/EP10.

i have not found anyway to adjust streaming quality and call qulity in resounds fitting software but in the phone app we can adjust the noise suppresion and wind supression for bluetooth phone calls which has drastically cleared the other caller complaint when it cam to my voice . the streaming quality improved a little bit with the 3 band equalizer but its limited. By the way i simulated other resound hearing aids in the fitting software only the older hearings had a little bit control for bluethooth audio sound. The newer ones with bluetooth LE doesnt have anything just how much mic input on phones

I have latest Nexia . My problem is when I get or call people can’t hear me when I talk with sound going into hearing. I have to set to speaker and take them out of hearing aids Any way to correct this?

I had the same issue with Resound Enzo IA - it was OK in quiet situation indoors but in nosier and/or outdoor environments it was a major issue.

I use an iPhone and the solution for me was to turn off the Mic input so that the phone microphone was used to pick my voice rather than the hearing aid microphone. See attached screen shot

You can only turn one of the other on at a time.
