DIY Programming of Phonak Infinio Sphere 90

Hey dear fellow users,

I am right in the phase of deciding which Hearing Aid I should choose.

I’ve tested Starkey edge 24 and Resound Vivia and Bernafon Encanta so far.

Right now I’m wearing the Phonak spheres and I’m mostly impressed by how well they work.

I’m for 90 percent sure that they will be my new HAs.

One thing that would make my decision perfect is if I can adjust the fitting of the hearing aids on my own.

is that possible and what hard and software do I need for that?

Hi there, great your willing to give a go, you’ll need target software and hardware interface the Noahlink wireless programming device, it’s pretty easy but do read the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time.

I have Phonak Infinio Sphere 90’s. The audiologist told me I could not get the Target software and would not understand how to use it. I did not believe her and through your forum learned how to get Target, which I did. Now I need to get the Noahlink 2 programming device but need to know where to purchase it as have been advised to be wary of counterfeits. Any advice would be greatly Appreciated. Thank you

Hi there great your giving a go, yeah the Noahlink wireless can be brought from eBay or Amazon, there's no such thing as "counterfeit" as such, all from/made in China anyways 😉

It's ridiculous, there's no "fake" every single one works out of China, this reminds me of the old "fake or genuine" HiPro fiasco, it's moot..

In this case, fake means counterfeit - an imitation product meant to resemble a genuine item with the intent to deceive.

There were tons of fake Hi-Pro USB and Hi-Pro 2 on the market that seemed to function correctly, but that doesn't make them reliable. Would you trust a garage that repaired your car using fake brake pads?

Well no one was having problems including mine, used for many years flawlessly, but I think this is more a mindset issue for people, they just wanna have "peace of mind" even when there's nothing to stress about.

Well actually I do,many times in fact, I buy/fit my own brakes as it's so simple to do, again I think this all comes down to people's mindset, as in only "genuine" could possibly be "better" sorry but in life sometimes just because you pay more doesn't guarantee better...

I don't think you can directly, but look just order from any Audiologist clinic (online seems the easiest way) and be done with it, a little bit of scaremongering going on but you won't be getting anything "better" then anyone else, just paying more for the same thing, cheers.

I bought mine from Amazon. Not the least expensive place to get one but I am ok with it since this is a one-off thing. Knowing what I know now, I would get the Noahlink Wireless (not 2) and save a few dollars.

Good advice there, also save even more if you see the original ReSound Airlink2 being sold, as this only needs a firmware update to use on the latest models.
