New Phonak Target update, New firmware available for Infinio

New here, just ordered Noahlink and would appreciate a Target link please. Spent quite a while with poor service (Covid period ear infections which lasted a year under a consultant before treatment sorted it……retired now but was a research scientist). So bone earing aids proposed but that was long drawn out so needed rush standard ’s for daughters wedding. 2 years later still struggling and new Phonaks on the way. So wanted the chance to tweak myself……..why change the habits of a lifetime!

Well THAT’s interesting. How does it translate to real-life? Are you getting any more day-to-day feedback?

I have been given to understand that they had also retrained the sphere program a bit, which is quite a considerable upgrade for the sphere users.

After upgrading to11.1, I completed a feedback test and made some very minor program tweaks. It seems that my Phonak Audeo Lumity (Costco Sonite R) volume was down considerably. Yesterday, it was set to 75 using 11.0.

I had to increase the volume to 85 to get the same results this evening.

If I’m reading your graphs correctly, it would appear that the gains are up.

Might be just the placebo effect, but my initial impression of the update is the following. Everyone has different hearing and different hearing aid settings so my impressions are relative to what things sounded like to me under the original firmware with no change by me of my previous settings. I hear a bit more high frequency sound. Sounds seem a bit cleaner and crisper, including speech. Hi there, I have Phonak I90R and just received Noahlink 2. I wanted to start tweaking them with the Phonak Target 11.0 I downloaded from the forum. I wonder if it is useful to update to 11.1 before starting ? Won’t it force any kind of firmware update on my ? Would I still be able to save my audiologist settings ? Will my audiologist still be able to connect to my HA if he needs to ? (and if he does not upgrade himself to 11.1…). Thanks for your help.

I woke up to this post and got out my laptop and got busy. I’ve been a user of Adaptive Phonak Digital Contrast with Semi-Linear compression; changed that to prescribed. Everything sounds so different. Right now I’m listening to Music Choice, a music streaming service on TV. I don’t know if I like it or not. I’ll give this some time in the real world.

Someone mentioned AutoSense OS is upgraded to 7.0 - where do I see that in Target?

Would I be wrong in assuming those that had Real Ear Measurement performed are going to have to have it re-performed?

Rather than ramble on pretending like I know what I’m talking about, here are screenshots of my programming. You can see the differences in gains across the frequencies. Larger gains appear to be for G80.

I would recommend upgrading to 11.1

In my experience, I now have slightly different results with the new software and it’s a little confusing. While it’s too early to say, I think the hearing aids are performing better than before the upgrade.

You may see other changes for the better with 11.1 as in my case since I have a “Private Label” hearing aid (Costco), some of program names changed but are functionally the same.

Yes, you can save your audiologist settings. I saved mine under the name “Donot Edit”.

I did update my hearing aids to 1.1.11.0 and the only big difference is the feedback test is faster! I haven’t really had much time to test them in noise. Anyway how can I check out what version of auto sense they are running on? I can’t find it in target or myPhonak?

Question for anyone who has completed the firmware update: once completed do your now appear as a “new model” under the Hearing Aids tab or still as “Audeo I90-Sphere”? I’m curious if/how Phonak might distinguish between the “old” I90-Sphere and the “new” Audeo Ultra Sphere.

Firmware should tell you which version you have.

I believe that is available on the app.

In Target 11.1 and I believe earlier versions, after you start the program and before you open a session, there is a button on the bottom called “Trial and Tools”.

When that opens, you can update your hearing aid firmware, Noahlink Wireless and other accessories.

I got brave and clicked on hearing aid firmware update. It connected to my ’s just like it does from within a session. It reported information from the HA’s which included the firmware version. Next to that, it reported the installable firmware.

Both the installed firmware and the latest firmware were the same version so I cancelled.

I did install a firmware update in the Noahlink wireless and that went very smoothly.
