Oticon Zeal - Rechargeable in the ear with Bluetooth

Somepeople WILL ONLY use ITE nothing else, no matter how many benefits a rite instrument has, there is a still a sizable chunk of the market which demands custom made instruments. While in theory this isn’t a custom product per se.

I think there are some interesting questions that we need to be asking, no-one seem to be answering. Who is the service is going to work, as the instrument is marketed as a enclosed for durability, who are they going to handle warranties, how durable is the pullout string with the antena how often would it need to be replaced. What needs to be asked, once it is out of warranty how much is it going to cost, we aren’t expecting to pay full pricing. So far, this are unknowns

My Intents are better than my Reals, except I hate that they are wider. I do not like wearing them with glasses as it creates “Dumbo” ears. For this reason, I am looking forward to trying the Zeal.

maybe look at eyewear that’s more accommodating, rather than put out the big $$$ for the Zeal.

It would help us if you post your audiogram in your profile, because the Zeal is more limited than the Intent in so far as degree of loss.

I’d personally rather spend a few $ on new eyewear. Silhouettes are a bit pricey, but the temples are very narrow, and comfortable with the Intents. You might also consider Oakley, which has a straight temple.

are these really that good (anyone?)

I have Oticon OPNS3’s at the mioment, and althought they do improve my hearing, I’m fed up with the suround noise when at a party/club enviroment, plus the feedback screech I get from being close (not too close) to a wall or whatever, even when i kiss on the cheeck my family

When I asked my audiologistabout them, he said “they’re OK” so i get the impresion he doesn’t want me to change from my OPN s3’s

So I’m looking around at alternatives.

oh and Hi, new to the forum.

Keep us posted. Cookie bite is tricky, good luck.

Anyone find photos of the custom tips for Zeal so we can see the venting.

you cant change the battery, the components are encapsulated. How are they going to handle the warranties and the replacements will be quite important

Warranty should not be a problem but keeping them a long time may be an issue as repair may be impossible. It looks like Virto R could be repaired by, for example, Lloyds.
