receive long email from Resound support with general instructions but no luck i did redo all they asked but no still connection I called my Audi and they called resound and was told they wont work with TV’s saying I need to use the streamer Plus which as many of us find that newer tVs do not allow split audio to tthe streamer and a soundbar.. I did find this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkG09fWO9Tw31

Yes known for devices but I wasn’t able to determine if will connect natively to Lg Tv without a transmitter as the tv won’t allow simultaneous streaming of audio with a hdmi soundbar do you have experience with this. I currently have a resound streamer plus which presents same issue

I don’t know. That’s why I suggested you contact Avantree.
I have to wonder if your TV is broadcasting at a higher bit rate then what you hearing aids can take, and that’s why it doesn’t connect. If that’s the case, then you will need to either use some headphones, connect a separate Auracast transmitter or hope LG updates the firmware to allow a lower bit rate.

The LG C5 comes with , so you shouldn’t need any extra device or any sort of technical modifications.
Only LG 2025 OLED TVs and some 2025 QNED TVs have Auracast. This includes the C5
The video below demonstrates how to connect Resounds to an LG C5 TV, using the Resound Vivia model for the demo. It also shows that both the hearing aids and the TV sound system are working properly. LG CS should be able to help.

With my LG C3 65” I use an Optical splitter with a Resound Streamer + and an LG Soundbar. Works great. (Also works with an older Resound Streamer 2.) The TV’s sound menu is set to Optical Out Device.
Check if your soundbar has an Optical-In option. I set to this option using the LG Soundbar App on my phone. FWIW my optical splitter came from Amazonand the soundbar came from Costco (online order only).

If the TV is broadcasting at a bit rate higher then what the hearing aids can take then it won’t work. This issue has come up multiple times with other devices.
It would be helpful if LG made the bit rate selectable from the TV menu.

But the guy in the video shows that it works with the Resounds + C5, it is exactly the same configuration the OP has (ok, the guy in the video has the Vivia and OP has the Nexia)
If connectivity is going to depend on the bitrate of the transmitter, that’s going to be a huge problem for its deployment.

I didn’t see the video until just now. It looks like there is a selection for audio quality. That’s where I would see if changing it makes it work.
If that’s all it is, then shame on LG for not knowing this.

Avantree is selling their transmitter already configured to the lower bit rate that a hearing aid can use.
But yes, it’s currently an issue. However, the word will get out and folks will know how to fix it.

Does your soundbar have an option to connect it to the TV with an optical audio cable rather than HDMI
If so, one solution would be to the connect the TV and a Avantree Audikast 4 (or alternative transmitter) with optical audio cables you will need a 1 to 2 splitter for the audio cables which will enable you to connect both the Soundbar & Avantree Audikast 4 simultaneously.
This is the set up I have and this enable my family to listen via the Soundbar whilst I connect via the Auracast Broadcast.
However, if the TV already has Auracast it is frustrating that you cannot use this to connect.

I considered buying this LG C5 OLED TV on Black Friday - partly because it has been reported to have built in. Interestingly, when I talked to LG‘s customer service, they knew nothing about it. They did know that it was supposed to have it, but they did not know how it worked or how to find it in their own literature. Specifically, I asked them if it’s possible to broadcast object based audio such as Atmos (which this TV is advertised to be able to produce) and to simultaneously broadcast through Auracast. They had no idea. I would be amazed if LG has figured out how to do that.
I think a lot of people have purchased equipment that produces Atmos sound and want to be able to also connect their hearing aids to their TV’s sound system. I’m not sure the engineering can handle this. As I understand it, it’s one or the other. Meaning the soundbar and the hearing aids need to be set at the equivalent of Stereo or 5.1 digital sound. In other words, Atmos in the room and no hearing aid sound, or the equivalent of stereo sound in the room and two chanel sound sent to the hearing aids.
If anyone knows that this assumption is wrong I’m all ears.

This is curious because I have played with the C5 and can confirm the works.
I blogged about it here: Link to Aurahear article (opens new website)16
I’m not sure what you are doing different.
If you own a Samsung Or Pixel 9 or 10, it may be worth trying to connect via Bluetooth settings rather than GN’s app.

So far, the only official announcement that 2025 LG TVs support has come from Starkey, a hearing aid company. Resound says it should work after contacting support but so far I seen only 1 video with a resound viva hearing aid that connected. I asked if Nexia and Viva’s had same or different firmware for aurcast and received a answer NOT answering the question I am using a Samsung S23 Ultra which they say is supported. I have attempted to connect via the phones Le audio in Bluetooth settings that also shows a broadcast but will not stream to aids. I will try a different phone. Just tried a Pixel 7 pro which finds broadcast but doesn’t stream to the nexia.
