Currently using Jabra pro 10 hearing aids and will be looking to purchase new aids at Costco after the first of the year
Currently using a loaner pair of Jabra pro 30 aids from Costco while mine have been sent in for end of warranty battery replacement
Wondering if anyone has had an opportunity yet to try the new Soundgear aids yet?
I am planning on holding off on purchasing until my local store has these in stock. Also considering holding off to see if they update the Sennhiser product

I spoke to a Costco representative at a test site in Virginia over the weekend, and he stated that he previously worked for Starkey.
Although he was excited about the new product at Costco, he said that he was disappointed that it was based on the older Genesis platform and not the current Omega or Edge platforms.
Costco adds SoundGear AMP, featuring Starkey’s Edge technology, in a limited pilot program. The rollout brings the final “Big 5” global hearing aid maker into Costco’s growing mix of premium prescription hearing aids.
I have had the new Soundamp Edge ’s made by Starkey, for 2 weeks now. While it’s still early, I’m very pleased so far. In addition to , they are also equipped with software.
I recently purchased a Homespot BV210 broadcaster from Amazon.
The Soundamp has Bluetooth capability for most phones, but that’s it. The Homespot BV210 broadcasts auracast thru my Samsung S23 ultra phone. It’s easy to hookup to my Samsung smart tv that is 5 years old. At first there were a few hiccups, but Homespot support gave me an easy fix. The $49.95 I paid for the broadcaster is much better than the $350 Starkey wants for its TV streamer, and I don’t think their quality of sound could be better than I’m receiving from Homespot
Yes, several times including a lunch period at a grade school. I was satisfied, especially compared to the Sennheisers I tried, and much better than my KS10’s.
I have tried them for quite some time now and really like them. They are identical to Starkey Edge just the colors are different and logo different, but very identical.
Update on my Soundgear aids from Costco. I am hearing much better in restaurants with these aids than I did with both my Sennheiser and KS10. Of course I switch to the restaurant program for this. My car radio sounds better when I switch to the music program.
I’ve been wearing the Soundgear AMP since 12/23/25. My previous HAs were KS10s. The KS10s were not giving me any trouble but the 3 year warranty was up and my insurance would cover new HAs.
First impressions: Far better in high background noise environments. I can wear these to a sporting event, church and Costco and hear people talking to me clearly. I have also found that they make persons with thick accents much easier to understand. I don’t know how that was accomplished, but it’s been a huge gamechanger for me.
I bought the TV streamer and have the app. To be honest, I am a little let down by app controls when it comes to using the TV streamer. The KS10s had a way to turn down outside noise when using the streamer and it was very effective at doing so. The Soundgear app has the ability to turn down the hearing aids sound (as opposed to streaming sound) but I don’t find it’s as effective in blocking out outside noise. On a more positive note, the Soundgear HAs seem to connect to the TV streamer faster and easier than the KS10s ever did.
Edge mode… whatever. It seems gimmicky. I haven’t used it other than to try it out a couple times and so far I don’t see the point of it. Maybe someone can chime in and let me know in what scenario I may find it useful.
I get the occasional feedback beep in my left ear but that’s because my hearing in that ear is at the very edge of what these HAs are capable of helping with. I didn’t get that with my KS10s, ever.
Other aspects of the app are nice, like easily programming what you want each HA to do with a tap control (My Costco specialist told me they didn’t have tap control… they do). You can also adjust treble and bass for the TV streamer and other streaming devices.
Battery life is amazing. I could not get through a full day with my KS10s without the dreaded low battery chime coming on in the evening. These new HAs are a game changer in that aspect. No more having to recharge them late afternoons if I want to be out late.
Bottom line… The thing I appreciate most about these HAs is they simple allow me to hear more clearly than my previous KS10s.
I liked Edge+ mode; it evaluates the area, and depending on what you need, say, like clarity, it will improve that. It follows Starkey Edge . As for streamer volume, it does do that, but you have to wait till the program pops it up.
I want to give an update on the Soundamps I’ve been wearing since late December. I’m having some problems with them and have an appointment tomorrow to try and fix those.
One of the main problems is the horrible sound of music on my car radio system. It’s not natural sounding at all, and I’ve tried switching to , restaurant, and crowd settings to no avail. I have a Toyota Avalon with a 14 speaker system so it is not the radio. 2 other ’s, KS10 and Sennheiser have sounded completely natural in the same vehicle. There is also a wind type noise constantly when radio is on or off. I have turned off the A/C and heater functions but the wind noise is still there. The Soundamps are also bad in a noisy environment, although changing to restaurant setting helps some.
I will give a further report after my Costco visit tomorrow.
