ReSound ENZO IA - Any feedback from new owners?

Have you also noticed that the connection to the Resound app lasts longer on these IA hearing aids than on older Resound hearing aids?

I don’t know about the Resound app, but the “Stay Connected” feature in my Phonak app drastically reduces the time it takes to connect. The app is almost immediately ready to use after opening.

Okay, here’s another question for IA owners: when connecting to a phone via Bluetooth—for example, at the start of playback—do you hear a crackling sound before the Bluetooth transmission begins?

I use an iPhone with Enzo IA which connects via Apple’s protocol. When audio starts on the phone (from a call, notification or playing audio) I become aware that the aid has switched to audio streaming mode a fraction of a second before the audio reaches my ears, but I never noticed any crackling. Sound quality is good but if I move away from the phone by just a short distance then the connection is lost easily.
I also use Bluetooth / to connect to a laptop and television, again there is no crackling when the audio starts. The sound quality feels cleaner and the connection is maintained over much longer distances.
If you have access to another phone, it might be worthwhile trying the connection on that to see whether the issue is the phone rather than the hearing aids.

I tried the Phonak Ultra Sphere 9 for 2 months and was not impressed and returned them. I think the Audiologist might not have turned the Spherical mode on, but when I replied to a followup email from Boots Hearing Care they could not confirm this. They did state they that were aware of ONLY one site in UK that is using (Bristol rail station). They did not think of the millions of Samsung/LG/Phillips/Panasonic TVs that have had for years.

No crackly from hearing aid. Have similar sounding tinnitus so wouldn’t be a reliable judge of this in a scientific test but I do not experience this.

Find the connections generally more reliable on this new aid and the more recent App update more stable in terms of connectivity.
(I wish they would redesign the app completely though)

I’m nearing the first Costco follow up of two weeks on my Jabra labeled Enzo IA. I can hear my phone calls in both ears fairly well on my Samsung S25 with the exception of the tonal or frequency of the received audio. Every caller sounds as if they have a head cold with their speech sounding horse or more bass compared to the phone’s speakers.
The caller says my voice sounds bass as well and we both sound much better when I change to the phone to speakers.

I just got fitted with those same Jabra E P Max hearing aids yesterday afternoon, at Costco in Bellingham WA.

Fantastic! I hope they help you and you like them. I have my first remote fitting call today. I only have a few changes for her to make in Smart Fit so far, which are: Power on beeps too loud, program change beeps are too loud for programs 2,3 and 4. I hope she can reduce the phone call audio bass sound so they sound more natural. Adjust all around program, sound enhancer settings so I don’t have to save my setting and change back to it after charging the aids.

No issues with metal hooks on either of my Enzo IAs. I have remained secure for 8/9 months I have had the aids
That’s sound like either the hook or the main body of the aid is damaged in some way.

I have two sets of these aids (which I alternate on a monthly basis) and don’t have an issue with either set.
I would suggest raising this with your audiologist as a warranty issue

No issues on my aids either in the two weeks I’ve had them. I noticed with interest that the hooks snap into the body of the aid rather than screw in. Have your audiologist check this issue out.
Here’s an unboxing7 video showing the hooks snap in if you’re interesting.

ReSound has been bought out so many times I’ve lost track. Seems the “ReSound” name has a new ownership every two or three years. What a hot potato.

Uh when and who, they did try to fick off the business to Sonova at one point, but who were the others?

My bad, since I thought the sale of Resound to Sonova went through in 2006. Which it did not. So just recent sale to Amplifon.
