Is there any benefit to getting a Phonak TV connect if I already have a Roger ON V3?

Hi. I have a Roger on V3 which I really like and use all the time. I’m plumming it into my TV set up and currently use the docking station. I walk over, open the cupboard and pop the roger into the docking station to send the sound that way. I’m wondering though if getting a tV connect would be better. would it be faster for example, less delay? there is a tiny one using Roger, I think the connect uses different tech, so called Airstream? it would also mean I didn’t have to carry the roger to and from the office. silly I know but one less thing to do and the connect is reasonably inexpensive. What do people think?

I would say no. I have the Phonak Spheres and the Roger ON3. It is the Swiss knife of hearing aids accessories.

The TV Connect is more compact and perhaps more convenient since it’s a dedicated device. No performance advantage that I’m aware of. Hypothetically your RogerOn might last longer if it’s used less. I’ve got both although I rarely use the Roger On.

I do love it. It’s expensive, but it’s a good expensive. my only major gripe is the little case is absolutely crap and offers very little protection in certain areas :slight_smile: i also wish there was a way to turn up and down the Roger volume moredirectly in the app. you can mix between ambient and Roger, you can turn the olume of hearing aids and roger up and down, but it’s tricky to turn the source roger is transitming up and down. You can sort of do it but it’s not the easiest of things.

I have both and don’t notice any difference in the sound quality between the two. In my case I think the Roger On may have a little longer range which makes it annoying when it is in the cradle and I forget to remove it and have to go down stairs to take it out because it keeps grabbing my Sphers

You could have the connection set to Manual instead of Automatically.

Yeah and you can extend the range even further as well. I’m thikning I will stick with the roger to be honest, doesn’t seem much point in getting another device. I think you can have the connection set to manual, that would be good sometimes and sometimes not. Then again, no hearing aids and perfect ears would also be good. I’m too fussy :slight_smile:
