This probably has greater interest to Jabra DIYers but posting here in case any other ReSound wearers would like their audi to try it. I am self-programming my Enhance Pro 30s and have always preferred fitting with +. It sounds more natural and less strident that the others, but it is also softer and I have to increase the volume in noisy situations.
I had read an NAL-NL3 update was coming soon and it arrived last week (Smart Fit version 2.3.334.38). After a few days of using NL3 I’m finding that I prefer it to the Audiogram+ algorithm. It retains the naturalness but sounds a bit louder. I haven’t tried it in a loud restaurant setting yet but hope to soon. The overall softness of Audiogram+ makes it difficult for me to understand voices, even after switching to Hear In Noise and increasing the volume (a trade-off I was happy to make since I rarely go out), but I’m hoping to have better luck with NL3. Also looking forward to hearing how the Music module sounds once that is released. Having Music as my default program is one of the best things about .
