Resound 2.3 Suggesting Aid Firmware Update

I originally started with the Resound 2.2 SmartFit software, but recently took the update to 2.3. My Costco fitter is still on 2.2. Now the 2.3 software is offering a firmware update for my Jabra Enhance Pro 30’s. Does anyone know: If I take the hearing aid firmware update, will my Costco fitter still be able to adjust my hearing aids with their 2.2 version of SmartFit if I have created and saved a new session with the upgraded firmware on the aids, under the 2.3 version of the software? Hope that question makes sense :blush:

Hi there @gserp4sox I never recommend update anything unless you absolutely need to, it’s unlikely an older version will accept, so if you don’t actually need the new firmware right now.. but I wouldn’t bother worrying about if Costco will notice or not, it’s not like they won’t be updating in the very near future anyway.

I appreciate your response. Not sure I “NEED” to do the update, but as a general rule, with the exception of PC motherboards, I usually perform all electronic device firmware updates. I’m not concerned about Costco noticing I have made any changes to my aids. More concerned that they won’t be able to help me (if I need it) once I take a firmware update and make/save changes to the program using SmartFit 2.3, as they are still on 2.2.

Yeah I get it, but they can’t be far away from updating, you could go there and tell them you want the latest firmware update because of whatever and that would force them to update to 2.3.

Welcome to the forum @shazam great your giving a go, be sure to read the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time and don’t forget you’ll need the Noahlink wireless programming device as well.
