Phone Call Portable Bluetooth Microphone for Hearing Aids?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has used a portable bluetooth microphone with hearing aids, specifically for call, so that my voice could be heard better on the other side of the line?

Sound from microphone’s aren’t that good, hence my question, bearing in mind that the phone call is transmitted to the HA and my voice will be picked up by the portable mic then transmitted to my phone (iphone or android).

For example if you are walking or driving, and you don’t want to hold your phone.

Hi, I was thinking about a universal bluetooth microphone that will work with any , not phonak or any specific HA manufacturer; Especially, I don’t want a roger system.

@Baltazard that wont work.
To my knowledge a phone usually cannot take the microphone stream from one Bluetooth device, while sending the other persons speech to the hearing aid. It’s part of the same HFP profile. Of course this may be phone dependent.

Instead try the following: Newest iPhone has a setting that allows you to use the phone microphone instead, even during classic Bluetooth HFP connection.
Alternatively most modern smartphones offer a “Voice Isolation” feature you can turn on during call to improve the microphone pick up.
