The Widex Allure currently has limited functions and only one fitting formula, making it feel like an unfinished product.
Could you please inform when additional features such as the NAL‑1, NAI‑2, NAI‑3 fitting formulas and frequency shifting will be added via online updates?
Also, how can I contact Widex’s acoustic engineers to provide feedback on these issues?
Many users among my friends, colleagues at school, and myself wear the Widex Allure. While its sound clarity is excellent, the device does have some notable drawbacks.
When my wife plays videos on speakerphone, her volume is quite loud and easily drowns out our face-to-face conversation.
Furthermore, when communicating with partners outdoors, even after turning off noise reduction, , and other features, the sound remains unstable—with sudden volume spikes and drops. I believe a more straightforward open/close control for this function would be ideal. In this aspect, the Oticon Intent performs noticeably better.
Only Widex-approved providers can access Widex Compass Cloud, since it requires login credentials. Like most hearing aid makers, Widex doesn’t reveal upcoming features ahead of time.
It seems you’re a Widex partner, given your ability to adjust the feedback and noise cancellation settings. Could you share what Widex said when you asked them these questions?. Companies don’t usually allow customers to contact their level 4+ support (or whatever number they use) but instead you can ask to send the messages via their lower level support options or feedback channels.

This is the behavior I’d expect when all features are turned off, which is usually the case with the music program. From my experience, the spikes and drops can be smoothed out by tweaking the G80, G55, and G50 values along with their corresponding CRs plus adjusting the Widex TruSound Softener setting.
I’m puzzled because I’ve never seen a provider in this forum raise questions that seem like programming issues. And if you’re not a Widex provider, how did you get login credentials?
Hello, thank you for your reply. I will try your solution. The main issue is that I don’t have this account; I’m using my audiologist’s computer for the matching.
Yeah - things like NAL-NA2/DSLv5 , frequency shifting and Zen are missing. It’s looks like they released the cloud version too early. The initial release didn’t have the Sensogram/in-situ feature. The user manual is only 19 pages.
During recent trial of the Allure , I also got the impression that features weren’t quite ready for prime time, largely around controls and bluetooth. Ultimately decided I wasn’t willing to wait to see if they fixed them in future updates.
As far as I know, users do not have access to Compass Cloud. I logged in on my audiologist’s computer today and found that it requires a random passcode from Google Authenticator to gain entry. Only authorized Widex dealers have this access.
Additionally, unfortunately, Signia may launch a new platform similar to Widex’s, possibly using a system analogous to Compass Cloud for fitting.
It is expected that other manufacturers will follow suit.

Hopefully not, it’s been a disaster for Widex, so loosing market share is gonna hurt, but the merger of Sivantos and Widex could be the writing on the wall!
Although things like feedback management and ability to adjust certain automatic features was an improvement, we were hesitant at the very beginning due to the lack of (or lack of ability to adjust) other features. However, as they have rolled out more features we have started using them more. Our reps have not said anything about frequency transposition or fitting formula presets yet, and my understanding is that Zen is the thing they are working on most.
I am not aware of a direct line to the engineering team, but you could start with their main number (800-221-0188). Widex has a customer support line (844-497-8844), but that is mainly for phone connectivity problems.
