Have you noticed any changes after updating the firmware?
Not really… I guess this is mostly an under-the-hood improvement.

Hallelujah! My audiologist made changes to reduce the floor noise / internal hearing aid noise but it’s still there if I’m in really quiet situations. Would love it if it can get even quieter!

I went to Audiologist for update, was expecting 1.3.0 and then he said its 1.4.0, still testing to see what changed / upgraded,

Hi,
I am new here, trying to find out the risc of updating my Intent minirites.
Left and right were setup by the audiologist.
I got myself genie 2 ( just got it updated to newest version. )
I have Noah link 2
So I can connect and view my Intent’s 🙂
I created a “customer “ for myself and genie downloaded all settings of Intent’s.
I exported this (just in case) to a file.
question: because the initial setup was done by audiologist, is it safe to do the update myself?
I read, the update will factory reset the Intent’s and after the update and genie will restore the original setup.
thank you for your advice!

Hi there @thats_me great your giving a go, be sure to read the user guides before starting, as with all firmware updates its at your own risk, but why are you doing it? I don't recommend updates unless you absolutely need to.

Thanks @tenkan
Yes I read a lot and watched some videos, thank for the heads up, indeed there is a lot of parameters to set.
I read it solves the high noice ( from device itself).
Not very annoying so maybe better to skip?
So it’s a risk but a big one? What are general experiences?
Thanks again

Actually it's not a big risk as such because you can use the App to do it, it's more sometimes things don't work the same as they did before, like bluetooth connection to devices etc so don't sweat too much if you want it go for it.

I lost some settings during the upgrade. Normally I disable the buttons, but after the upgrade, the buttons seem to change program. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. I drove to work listening to tinnitus therapy before I figured it out. 🤣

The new firmware is stable and I haven’t had any problems with it so far. The upgrade process is generally safe, but we’ve heard of a few cases where people ended up bricking their hearing aids during the update. So the weak link is not the firmware itself, it is installing it on your .
