My phonak Audeo Life warranty is coming to an end. What hearing aids should I consider or should I wait for new product cycle. My current units are adequate but not great for crowds and large rooms

I am no expert, here is what my 44 years with hearing aids tell me.
If you stick with the same brand but newer model there will be some improvement.
And they can read your old programing and hopefully less fine tuning trips to the office.

I agree with @Ziby
To add:
Don’t get new ones just because the warranty is expiring, get them because you want additional features (like enhanced speech in noise). The Phonak Infinio Sphere, IMO is excellent in noise.
I know someone who wants to buy used Lumitys L90 ![]()

Yeah as above, but there’s new platforms coming in 3rd 4th quarter from some manufacturers, Phonak isn’t doing a sphere MK2 as yet so if your a hard core Phonakian then that would certainly be worth the wait.

@tenkan What do you think may be arriving later this year? New models? New form factors for current models? I know it has been discussed on this forum that Oticon seems to be due for a new model to replace the Intent series. At least given their pattern for the last three or four models being two years apart. There were strong opinions about that though, pro and con.

Yes Oticon is for sure releasing a new platform, Signia are due to give us something serious to talk about, ReSound has to lift it’s game! Viva is no wow factor but unfortunately we don’t know what’s happening with a possible sale to be finalised later in the year to amperfon with them, so yeah a bit of what’s the “crystal ball” showing ; )

Tenkan, thanks for your take on possible new models of hearing aids. When I was a kid I would haunt new car dealers with my friends in September looking at the latest and greatest sheet metal magic. In the 1950’s salesmen were always nice about ten year olds wandering the showroom looking at the new cars and always suggesting we bring our fathers the next time.

I’ve just noticed a new model from Widex, the Allure , so I’m now sure Signia will be releasing this as well.

Tenkan, Also is the Rexton brand typically the same as the Signia and Widex? So in other words, would Costco be selling the same as the new Widex under the Rexton name?

do you think the new Signia will be the same as the new Widex Allure ai?
I see no reason they won’t be, cost will be a factor here, new seperate chips from the same company wouldn’t make a lot sense.
Also is the Rexton brand typically the same as the Signia and Widex
Widex and Signia are not the same (not yet anyway) Rexton is the rebranded Signia models, so anything Signia does Rexton (Costco) will follow.

My best advice is to have a fresh test and adjustment if your last tuning up was more than 2 years ago. Phonak Infinio Sphere is the latest but it is about 1.5 years old so by 2026, Phonak may bring out a newer model.
