Way back when manufaactuers used to support/repair aids that no longer worked. Which was great but at a cost. Now if your aid dies and its out of warranty along with being five plus years old most manufacturers won’t touch it. Which I’ve never understood, othen than those aid manufacturers wanting to force users to buy a new aid, versus having one repaired.
With that said am I correct that Starkey is the main choice for repairing aids? I believe that’s the case but find it interesting how Starkey can repair other aids that they don’t actually produce. That tells me the internal parts of HA’s are not really all that different from one brand to another, if Starkey can say repair a Phonak, Oticon, Resound, etc., hearing aid.
