ASHA does allow streaming to the phone, but it’s Bluetooth classic.
It’s a type of isn’t it? Classic is old school 4.2.

Disagree 100% - Classic performance is vastly superior to except the battery consumption.
BT Classic is what almost all bluetooth headsets (including AirPods) use. With the Infinio, you can get over 100 meters connectivity (vs few ft with BLE).

Can you go 100 meters with the normal power that a cell phone produces? This website seems to suggest that it can’t.
How Far Does Bluetooth Reach? (Before Audio Starts Cutting Out)1
How far can you go before Bluetooth audio starts cutting out? Learn the real range, what affects it, and how to keep your headphones connected longer.
If you can’t increase the power output, then you have to see if you can improve the antennas and receiver. Apparently, that’s what Phonak and Oticon are doing.
Does the Apple product use a bigger/ better antenna, better receiver? If so, then that may explain the better connectivity.
Anyhow, this is pretty much irreverent to Kendrite’s issue. Kendrite just needs a new or slightly used phone with .

Hello
Phoank’s hearing aids don’t use LE . They use Bluettoth classic. If there is LE working on Motorola and use can switch it off , please do so. Maybe it will help. In some hearing aids using LE technology it helps as well ![]()

The list I got from my gemini query included Pixel 8a and 9a. Google has stated clearly that those models do not adhere to the standard, though Resound says they support hands-free calling.
There are 2 steps to finding out if support a feature. First, check what the HA manufacturer says. Second, see if you can make it work.
Both steps are necessary. Checking designed-to-make-mistakes is not a necessary step, although AI can give you a quick path into the specs on the manufacturer’s website - for example, one can use AI to search on ‘does the pixel 9a support auracast’.

From what I’ve read , 8a and 9a have , this allows hands free calling and sending improved audio to a single set of aids but, they cannot broadcast to multiple devices due to their lack of .
Pixel 8a might miss out on Android 15's audio sharing feature1
Code suggests that Android 15’s upcoming audio sharing feature won’t be available on the Pixel 8a or older Pixel devices.

Hi @philbob57 @OcramSagev The phone doesn’t need to support , just .
The Auracast broadcast is discovered by the App in this scenario. I don’t have Resound, but the Oticon Companion, and the Philips Hearlink2 both support Auracast with the Intent, and 9050 aids.

Hi @philbob57 @OcramSagev The phone doesn’t need to support Auracast, just LE Audio.
Isn’t that what I said ?

One of you is talking about audio sharing (phone as transmitter) the other about taking an Auracast broadcast… I think.

Nope , what you are saying is not correct.
I made it clear that is enough for hands free calling and improved audio streaming. See below
My comment made no reference to the phone app. It said that the phone itself does not have and I did not say the lack of Auracast on the phone prevents the aids from using Auracast themselves .
In other words , my comment said those phones cannot act as Auracast transmitters .

Yes, it does seem like they are mixing things up. The phone doesn’t need to connect to an broadcast. All it needs is the Phillips app and the 9050 hearing aids.
My Pixel 6a, using the Phillips app, can find and tell the hearing aids to connect to an Auracast broadcast. The Pixel 6a does not have LE Audio.
I don’t think Audio sharing is transmitting an actual Auracast broadcast since it requires a pairing between the phone and the device receiving it.
It seems like there are multiple paths within LE Audio. The hearing aid connection, Auracast, and audio sharing.

It’s definitely an broadcast. Pixels confuse things in that they require a connected device before they start the broadcast. Samsungs don’t- at least they didn’t a while ago when I tested audio sharing on my friend’s S23.

I wonder why Google did that with their phones. It seems a bit stupid to me since there are portable speakers that use without needing the pairing.. Perhaps a good reason to not buy their phones.

I actually found a Bluetooth LE toggle in the phones developers options but it is greyed out for some reason.
Guess I’ll get a new phone at some point.
Thanks for all the help.
