Re using a almost unused set of Specsavers hearing aids

Hi, just joined s looking for some help as I have a pair of Specsavers Advance LI 680 hearing aids, they were fitted for my mum who used them 6 times only so as new.

How in the UK can I get these set up for me as I currently have NHS supplied aids which I seem to change batteries every 3 days and to honest they are not great and have been wait for 6 months to get a follow up appointment to adjust them.

Of course Spacsavers will not do anything with them has anyone managed to get a UK company to reprogram them for themselves or can I get some software and do this my self?

Yeah Specsavers are totally useless, I don’t understand why they can’t offer to fit them for you, just spiteful behaviour really, unfortunately your out of luck for as well, as they are locked to their respective software.

I’m pretty shocked that specsavers won’t programme them for you as the person inheriting these devices. Have you got proof that she purchased them and that you got them from her? Fitting devices to other family members isn’t atypical for clinics here. We’d just charge a service fee which would be the same as the fitting fee if costs were unbundled.

Not codes but their own flavoured version’s of the software, I’m guessing that any pin/code lock would be able to be brute forced.

Spoken with a few other companies and all say the same the only spacsavers can but 2 suggested Costco as have heard that they sometimes can, so will reach out to a Costco with a hearing centre to see.

No you won’t get any luck with a Costco store, so that’s incorrect information, Costco will only program what they sell, definitely not Specsavers models.
