Issue with Edit Window

Standard EditMaximum EditI have managed to replicate the issue that I see when using the Edit window. Maybe it only occurs when creating a topic as I don't always see the problem?

Anyway as you can see - Standard view I see about 4 lines of text, whereas maximum view I only see about 2 lines of text. So, either window it is hard for me to read more of my post before clicking on submit.

Can this be fixed so there is more height so you can read a long paragraph? My system is Windows 11, using 1920*1080 resolution and standard Windows scale at 150%. I have not changed font sizes or anything on the website.

Thank you.

I have just replied to a post and I can now confirm that there appears to be a difference in size of window and how much text you see when creating a new post versus replying to a new post. The problem seems to occur only when creating a new post. This is why it seemed so random.

I’d try closing and reopening the edit window first, then check whether the issue happens in a different browser or after clearing the site cache. If it only happens with one particular entry, that could help narrow down whether it’s a browser issue or something specific to the record.

I have done a couple of tests. It doesn't matter which browser, whether I close it or not.

What does make a difference is changing from 150% zoom to either 125% zoom or 100% zoom in Windows. Windows 11 defaults to 150% zoom.

I might try using 100% and 125% zoom for general internet and see what I think. But I presume that Microsoft made Windows 11 default zoom at 150% for a reason.

I suspect that 100% zoom (with resolution of 1920*1080) will make the text of most websites too small to read without straining constantly. But perhaps 125% will provide a happy medium as it does give enough height to the edit window. However, I assume that most Windows users would be using the Microsoft default zoom.

I have changed my zoom to 125% for the last few days and I seem to manage ok with that. I am using a 13.3 inch laptop connected to a 24 inch monitor. I find 100% zoom makes everything too small.

But I can't say that I have experienced any issues with reading any websites at 125% zoom. So, I will stick with this.

However, it does not negate the fact that the Edit Window when creating a new topic seems to be different from the Edit Window when replying to an existing topic. That should not matter.
