Oticon Intent 1's won't stay connected to new laptop bluetooth

I have Oticon INTENT 1s ... they have latest firmware... I just got a new laptop (LG Gram) - one of the main reasons was so I could connect my hearing aids and have audio go directly to my hearing aids without having to use another device (dongle,etc)....

Problem: the hearing aids won't stay connected.... they will pair to laptop for a couple seconds, and then it says "not connected" ... Any ideas? I have tried turning off bluetooth on iphone (in case it's interfering) but that didn't help... have tried turning bluetooth off/on on laptop as well.....

If I can't figure it out I may have to return the laptop but I need to figure this out soon.... TIA for any ideas .....

Does the LG Gram support Bluetooth low energy audio () ? If not, that is the problem. There are adapters you can purchase that have this. Have a look around the forum.

Yes, it supports bluetooth low energy..... It connected when I was in the shop yesterday, but when I got it home, now they won't stay connected .... I have bluetooth 5.3, Ultra 7, wi-fi 6 (I think) ....

Thanks. Weird. I just went to the store where I bought the laptop yesterday and they pair just fine. He said it’s probably some other Bluetooth device in my house causes interference? Can’t imagine what it is but guess I’ll play detective. Nothing else shows connected to the laptop though.

Mystery solved! It's my wireless bluetooth mouse that's causing the problem... guess I'll have to either use wired mouse or unplug mouse when I want to have audio stream to hearing aids.....

Now that’s interesting - it seems the laptop’s Bluetooth can do le audio or Bluetooth Classic but not both simultaneously . I’m going to do some research on this. I think it’s the same behavior on android but again, let me check

Thanks.. will be interested to see what you find out... of course, now the hearing aids are NOT connected anymore.... didn't do anything (other than be away from laptop) .... will I have to connect them every time? I have an Easy LE Adapter and thought I'd plug that in to see if that works, but it didn't .... guess because the laptop already does LE audio? The LE adapter did show up as a "device" but audio just came through laptop speakers.....

I have a pair of Galaxy buds 4 pro (upgraded from buds 3 pro) which connect perfectly well to my desktop and lappie for normal streaming/video use. But as soon as I connect the 4's to Teams on the lappie they drop out after a couple of seconds (3's worked OK). I found out that it was because of , when I switched that off they stayed connected.

I use an Avantree C-82 Aura dongle. Plugs into the USB-C port. Select it as the sound output from your laptop, and connect the aids to the Auracast dongle. Well I think I misspoke - my mistake... I think the computer mouse I have is actually optical (it has a USB dongle that attaches to laptop ... not sure why it's interfering with pairing my hearing aids to the laptop?
